The Lion House, historic home of Brigham Young, invites you to experience tradition at its best! We offer a wide range of opportunities for gatherings.Wedding Receptions The Lion House has three areas where wedding receptions can take place. Our main floor offers 5 separate, charming rooms. The Parlor, the original gathering place for Brigham Young’s family, is where brides and grooms can greet their guests. The rooms following are used for wedding cakes, displays, food buffets and areas for guests to sit and enjoy refreshments and visiting. The third floor of the house is a spacious, large open area. A beautiful grand piano is available, and plenty of space for wedding cake, displays, gift table and serving tables. The gardens of The Lion House, available during the summer months, are beautiful grounds covered with trees, flowers, lawn and coble stone walk ways. Lovely patio furniture placed around the gardens is for family and guests to mingle, visit and enjoy wonderful refreshments. Our wedding coordinators are available to help you every step of the way. Wedding cakes, flowers, refreshments, tablecloths, chair sashes and more to aid in your planning are all available through The Lion House. Reception menus include plated, served food items or buffets. Our chefs are happy to work with you to create your own menu to help make your reception truly unique. Wedding Luncheons and Dinners The Lion House has eight banquet rooms available for wedding luncheons and dinners. Accommodating between 10 and 96 guests, each party is given a room to fit their needs. When available, the third floor of the house can accommodate 192 guests for a sit down affair. The garden area can accommodate 106 total guests for a luncheon or dinner event during the summer months. |
