What We Do. At Ryan Hinman Films, we hope to bridge the gap between technology and creativity and provide consumers with fresh, inventive videography of their most important memories. As the Utah wedding video market is saturated with services that incorporate similar styles of shooting and editing, Ryan Hinman Films maintains the position of infusing wedding videos with a photo-journalistic style uncommon in the local industry. We avoid the cookie-cutter mentality that drives the industry to assume that the consumer wants a “fast and cheap” product. RHF seeks to capture events as they are, allowing events to transpire naturally, without the added pressure or complications of structured wedding video sessions. Who Is Ryan? Ryan Hinman graduated from the University of Utah Film Studies Program in 1998. While in school, he wrote film-related reviews and articles - covering the independent film culture and the Sundance Film Festival – for the Utah Daily Chronicle. He also produced and directed Derby Kings, a short film about the great American sport of Roller Derby! Upon receiving his degree, he worked briefly in the local film industry. He continued his education in Graphic Design and worked in marketing in the burgeoning Utah wedding industry. For 4 years, Ryan oversaw Salt Lake’s Premier Wedding Show at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. He recently completed a graduate degree in Communications from Westminster College, continues to freelance in marketing and publishing, and occasionally helps out friends on their independent film projects. Ryan is married to wedding coordinator Rebecca Hinman, and resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. Packages. Ryan Hinman Films offers package pricing in order to simplify your planning process. Our packages range from single-event coverage, to a fully-customizable package covering several events. Travel fees from Logan to Provo are included in our pricing.
